The Old Coach House sleeps up to eight people with three bedrooms, one ensuite, and a comfortable sofa bed in our spacious studio. The spacious kitchen/dining room makes self catering a pleasure. Excellent laundry facilities and bike workshop/storage area make the Old Coach house the perfect base for your mountain bike, walking, golfing or family holiday.

Front Court Yard
The entrance to the Coach House is through our charming front court yard. One of the unique features of Coach House is the fact that we have our own private well. So this is the just the place to wash down any mud caked bikes in our customised bike wash facility. Pressure hose and bike rack provided.

From the court yard you will find plenty of hangers to hang up the gear.

Bathroom
Directly in front of you is our bath/shower room with wc and wash hand basin. Soak away the days grime in the sunken bath or treat yourself to an envigirating hot shower. Full vanity facilities are available if you want to pamper yourself before a night out on the town!

Bed Room 1
Just off the study is the down stairs bedroom, twin or Double, comfortable beds and clean fresh duvets and pillows will give you the perfect nights sleep for tomorrows big adventures

Bedroom 2
Upstairs you will find our ensuite facility, again either twin or double this light and airy upstairs room has views to the west across Dumfries to the slopes of Criffle, and Mabie forest.

Bedroom 3
This is the largest bedroom with twin double and wardrobe facilities fitted with the option of 2 x single or one super double bed, mattresses, clean linen and duvets.

Living Room
Hears where you relax and unwind with your favourite tipple, the flick of a switch will bring the living flame gas fire to light. Sit down enjoy the views through the beautiful bay window of the museum, and Criffle. Enjoy catching up with your favourite TV show or sit down and watch a dvd. Or what about just sitting round the fire and chilling out.

Studio
The recently refurbished studio offers fun and flexible extra space. Fitted with a sofa bed and folding beds the studio is both a double or family bedroom, but during the day is a living room games room (complete with TV, snooker table, and dart board) or study. So weather you just want extra bed space or the perfect play area for the kids, old and young, the studio will make your stay at the coach house perfect.

Bike Shed
This is where you can store all the bikes. The bike shed is accessible through the lane from the main street, large wooden door to the right hand side of the Coach House. Secure storage for up to eight mountain bikes. |
Utility area
The coach house can be accessed from the shed through the fully fitted utility area. Get out of all your muddy gear and throw the whole lot in the washing machine. The utility area is equipped with a sink, tumble dryer and ample old fashioned pulley. So don’t worry about the laundry when you stay at the coach house. |

Local facilities
Apart from the museum one of the joys of the old coach house is the morning walk for the rolls and paper to the local grocers, the old Toll Bar, is well stocked with food, drink and stationery and is an easy five minute stroll down the road. Directly across from the toll bar is the site for the annual Dumfries Show.
